We had 13 Teens "Enlist" in Max... They took an Oath of Enlistment to Join the Army of God, never to retire, "This Is For Eternity" No giving up on this new life! To be a soldier in this army we must be PERSISTENT which means, "Refuse to give up or let go...To ENDURE"
2 Timothy 2:3-4 - You therefore must ENDURE hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 4 No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who ENLISTED him as a soldier.
We are not promised a pain free, easy going life, with no wounds or battle scars...BUT we are promised VICTORY! WE ARE ENLISTED IN THE ARMY OF THE LIVING GOD! Victory is guaranteed!

THIS ISN'T JUST SOME PRETTY SAYING ON A WALL PLAQUE, BUT A DECLARATION BY A FATHER WHO DECLARED, YOU MUST CHOOSE THIS DAY, WHO YOU WILL SERVE? THE GODS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE RIVER OR TH...E GODS IN THE LAND YOU NOW DWELL IN, OR THE ONE TRUE GOD? BUT AS FOR AND MY HOUSE, WE WILL SERVE THE LORD!
LETS TALK ABOUT THIS FATHER JOSHUA,
First let me tell you, there was nothing soft or wimpy about Joshua! He was one of 12 secret spies sent to scout out Canaan. He was a real life James Bond, Jason Born, Ethan Hunt, type! Out of the 12 spies only Joshua and Caleb had confidence in God, and only those two survived the desert ordeal to enter the Promised Land.
Joshua showed tremendous courage, and boldness, despite the huge responsibility assigned to him. Joshua knew that God would act, so He was fearless....He was not foolish though - He just knew where his help would come from... Joshua became a brilliant military commander... A general! Against overwhelming odds, Joshua led the Israelite army in its conquest of the Promised Land. The wars of conquest which Joshua carried on for many years, including defeating the most fortified city in the world, Jericho, added up to six nations and thirty-one kings that were conquered through him, by God!
FATHERS LETS RISE IN BOLDNESS AND BE THE MIGHTY CONQUERORS GOD HAS CALLED US TO BE! LETS NOT SIT IDLY BY AND ALLOW THE ENEMY TO TAKE FROM US, TO TAKE FROM OUR MARRIAGES, TO TAKE FROM OUR CHILDREN, TO TAKE FROM OUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY, TAKE OUR SANITY!!!!

What came to mind when you saw the word "NARROW"? Was it a positive thought you had while seeing this word? Or, was it negative, confining, stifling, or slightly claustrophobic?
There is something about this word, that brings so much safety, peace, simplicity, and tranquilness! It's the product (fruit, harvest) of the Word and Spirit of God within you, renovating, altering, changing, and making YOU NEW! You will know when you are Tender and Submitting to the Word of God, allowing it to flower within, and sprout without when you experience THE NARROWING! The excess being removed from your life, mind, thoughts, soul, and will!
THE NARROWING is when you are drawn into the CORE of God's will and you are satisfied with the simplicity it brings!
When you MOVE to center of truth and dwell there, making it a HOME! It's When you become satisfied and content with the BLESSINGS, and PARENTING of God, NO LONGER flirting with the edges, and the boundaries of HIS WORD! No longer hanging out on the corner of Lawlessness, with lust filled eyes peering into the BROADNESS of the World, thinking YOU ARE MISSING SOMETHING, LACKING SOMETHING, NEEDING SOMETHING, that God isn't providing YOU.
WORD OF CAUTION: Narrow is not a world favorite! The world wants what it wants, how it wants it, when it wants, where it wants, WHATEVER IT WANTS! It's on a ROAD EXPANSION PROJECT, flirting and headed for disaster, testing the boundaries, limits, and lines of God! Bulldozing over the Heart and Life sustaining Instructions of God, Trying to broaden who HE is as if HE needs broadening! Trying to make HIM tolerant, hip, relevant, current, (A HOMEBOY) that's down with their sin! Trying to create the ever broadening ILLUSION that HIS Love means acceptance of all things they want, while dismissing HIS Holiness and His Justice!
Narrow- Limit, Restrict, Constrict, Tighten, "SOUNDS LIKE A HUG FROM GOD TO ME"... It's a word we GROW TO LOVE!
