I want to challenge you with a question...What is your capacity? What do I mean? Let’s first look at the definition of capacity. It is defined as, “the potential or ability for holding, storing, or accommodating.” Now let me remind you of an encounter that Jesus had in Mark 5. Jesus had just gotten to a new region and a man that was demon possessed, out of his natural mind, living in a cemetery, unable to be bound or held by chains came running up to Jesus. Jesus immediately addressed the unclean spirits and asked, “what is your name?” The response was, “Legion, because we are many.” The word legion in the day of Christ meant 6,000 Roman Soldiers. In other words, this one man had the capacity to hold 6,000 unclean spirits. Why do I bring up this account? Because I believe that if one man can house that many UNCLEAN spirits then we have the capacity to hold at the least, that many attributes of the Holy Spirit! When will we understand that the Spirit of God wants to fill us, not to the limit of what we have just experienced, seen, heard of, or felt. The Spirit of God is saying, “take the limits off of me!” Our capacity to house and accommodate the Spirit of God is so much greater then what we realize. Do you remember what Jesus prayed in John 17? He said, “Father, I give them the GLORY that you’ve given me.” Jesus also said, “Greater miracles will you do.” Our capacity for victory, power, authority, miracles, peace, joy, love, kindness, self-control, knowledge, wisdom, creativity, and the like are only limited by the room we make for the Spirit of God in our lives. So again, I ask....”What is your capacity?”
